As I said, never dull in 2022. So what the f*** is happening with documenta? I have been staring at this text for over a minute now and still can't figure out what it says. Crisis PR mode is even more impenetrable than regular art PRs. Documenta had to cancel the We need to Talk! pannel because no one wanted to touch this hot potato all-you-can-eat discrimination buffet with a ten-foot pole. We Need To Talk! - Nevermind.
Documenta will open on June 16th as scheduled.

We need to talk! Art – Freedom – Limits (working title). Voices from various fields including colonialism, racism, and land rights research, Holocaust and antisemitism studies, Indigenous studies, law and the media as well as art and cultural work will enter into a debate to discuss the fundamental right of artistic freedom in the face of increasing racism, Islamophobia and antisemitism.
