WHY: If the first shows in 2015 are in any way indicating how the upcoming year is going to look like, we would warmly recommend  to visit the opening of "Tiergarten" at Galerie Christian Ehrentraut, and share Flavio de Marco's bright-colored view. This solo show presents works by the Berlin-based artist from Italy, whose artistic research is mostly focused on the experience of landscape.

18.00 Barbara Hammer - Have a Crush @ KOW

For the first time KOW will now show her previously unreleased works on paper: a selection of fifty collages, color drawings and painted photos, mostly made in the early and mid 1980s. It is an unexpected discovery to study Hammer's studio works, realized in parallel to her film projects, expanding her practice and experimenting with the intimacy of her image material.

19.00 Familie | Erinnerung @ Galerie Axel Obiger

The artists have transformed the gallery into an interdisciplinary laboratory, and "it’s like staring down a microscope and watching millennia multiply"...  In the complex course of artistic investigation and creation, they look back and wonder why individual choice was ever even thought necessary.
