20.30 PICTURE BERLIN: artist talk w/ Hester Oerlemans @ tête

WHY: PICTURE BERLIN is a hybrid residency / art academy dedicated to dialoguing on art and photography. This week, Hester Oerlemans will speak about her work and her curatorial practice by way of her project space OZEAN, which was recently awarded as one of the best project spaces / initiatives in Berlin. WHY: "REGENERATE14" will  challenge a set of artists and musicians, selected by the Lab Magazine, to create a one-of-a-kind interactive experience within the concept of 'shared spaces' - how we live and work alongside each other. Happening across four days, with daytime and nightime occasions - art, interactive installations, workshops, live music, pop-up gigs, themed rooms, food, drinks, soundscapes & rooftop terraces - this little feelgood festival will hardly disappoint.

WHY: "After the Delay" is a group exhibition curated by Hendrik Moehler​. It features five artists from diverse ​backgrounds, such ​as​ writing, video, installation, painting, and sound. The variety od disciplines makes it that much more interesting - check out the unusual shared result of this mixed collaboration on a common​ project.

19.00 Rundgang @ Berlin University of the Arts

WHY: Every year, Berlin's University of the Arts opens its workshops, ateliers, studios, and rehearsal rooms to the public, providing an opportunity to meet the young artists. From Thursday till Sunday, there will be plenty of things to keep you entertained. Most of the studios and workshops will be open to the public, and in the main hall, the Fine Art master class will show their works. Make sure not to miss the open air party on Thursday, with lots of bars, live music, and performances.

19.00 Typologien @ Galerie Pavlova

WHY: In their third exhibition, Galerie Pavlova is presenting the work of five unique Berlin-based photographers. Coincidentally, each of these photographers has made a project, often referred to as a Typology, built around the documentation and cataloguing a specific subject. The opening is a rare opportunity in Galerie Pavlova to meet the artists, and we hope it also means that Ali (Berlin's fashion hero who inspired Zoe Spawton to make the photo series "What Ali Wore") will show up too.

16.30 Resonance Assembly. Composition for Factory @ District Kunst und Kulturförderung

WHY: In a series of concerts, a temporary ensemble consisting of musicians, cultural researchers, performers, and amateurs will literally play the factory.
