Photography and experimental music in dialogue - world in a room is a project space that specializes in promoting current photography. Through a continuous exhibition program new positions in photography are presented. In addition, world in a room creates an interface to experimental music through complementary concert events. Contemporary photo art and music are both strongly represented in Berlin, but rarely have points of contact. The project space world in a room enables the exchange between the two artistic disciplines, promotes possible cooperation between photographers and musicians and brings together different types of art among the audience. Visits to exhibitions and concerts introduce the audience interested in photography to experimental music and vice versa.

The project space makes photography and sound - especially in times of virtual worlds - physically experienceable again and sets an accent in real space.
