"Thams Does Claws" is the nail art studio from artist Eily Thams. Unique in their position and style within Berlin's growing nail art scene, Thams is taking over Anna Ehrenstein's "Acrylic Geographies" installation with a nail art workshop. For anyone that wants to try to learn how to paint gel nails by yourself, anyone who wants to learn some nail art or even anyone who wants to get your nails done but can't afford to book the appointment.

TUESDAY, 17. AUGUST 2021, 18H: N*A*I*L*S PANEL WITH U.A. SUZA HUSSE IN CONVERSATION WITH YEN LE (LE NAILS EDUCATION CENTRE BERLIN), INVITED BY ANNA EHRENSTEIN, 

Yen Le is a nail artist and manages a nail salon at Berlin’s Rosenthaler Platz, as well as being the founder of Le Nails Education Centre at Don Xuan Center, Lichtenberg. The NAILS hacksfactsfictions platform was founded upon the initiative of Ayşe Güleç, Suza Husse and Katja Kobolt at the Berlin University of Arts in 2018. The platform imagines the nail salon as a queer site of critical, transcultural practices and intersectional care politics. Across multiple collaborations, artistic and educational formats and a magazine, the platform has approached nails as a collective interface for hacking the “magic” of commodities and for troubling biopolitics.
