18.00 I am Hungry: Cibelle Cavalli Bastos @ Import Projects

WHY: For the upcoming edition of „I am Hungry“, Import Projects and Agora Collective are working closely with the artist Cibelle Cavalli Bastos through their research into processes of reflection upon layers of identity and deprogramming. During a 6-month residency in Berlin, the many selves of the artist were placed into situations for auto-observation. Leading up to the event, the artist is using Instagram features via the @cibellecibelle account documenting every insight of the process.

WHY: The exhibition „Extremity“ operates as the first part of a series of three events at Display. Shira Wachsmann and Katharina Ludwig are invited by the gallery to foster a discussion between their practices and directions of research, and explore points of intersection. Through their common installation in the space, they interrogate the ideas and boundaries of history and narrative. They engage with the concepts of borders and holes in socio-political, artistic, and linguistic space.

19.00 Torbjørn Rødland – „Back in Touch“ / Joel Meyerowitz – „Why Color?“ @ C/O Berlin

Concurrently, C/O Berlin presents „Why Color?“, a retrospective of photographs by Joel Meyerowitz spanning color and black-and white prints from the 1960s to the present day.
