20.00 Laetitia Sadier + Nicholas Krgovich @ ACUD MACHT NEU

WHY: Laetitia Sadier (the lead singer of Stereolab) returns to Berlin, this time for a gig at ACUD MACHT NEU, with a band and a brand new album to present. Support comes from Nicholas Krgovich, a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist best known for his work with No Kids, Gigi and P:ano.

21.00 TSF'16 Warm-Up #1: Princess Century (of Austra / TR/ST) + Pascale Project @ ACUD MACHT NEU

WHY: In anticipation of TSF'16, Torstraßen Festival and Shameless/Limitless present the Berlin debut of Maya Postepski's (of Austra andTR/ST) new project, Princess Century. Support comes from Pascale Project. After Party with DJs Mona Lisa Disco & Magic Island.

19.00 Mimicof & Kalma VJ @ Spektrum

WHY: Midori Hirano aka Mimicof is a Berlin-based Japanese musician, composer, sound artist and producer. Her works are diverse and eclectic mixture of modern digital sounds with subtle electronic processing or field recordings. Kalma is a visual artist and a sound technician whose approach to the visual experience is intimately linked with her background of working with sound. Spektrum will host these two artists for a special  audio-visual collaboration.

21.00 YDRKM: Dis Fig @ Monarch

WHY: Based out of Brooklyn, Dis Fig came up with New York label and collective Purple Tape Pedigree, an incubator for Jersey club, grime, techno, baile, ballroom, rap and R&B mutations. Since moving to Berlin in 2014, she has affiliated with Berlin's Trade party series. She's also one half of Call Dibs with Hunni'd Jaws, who self-describe as "fearless outsiders embracing cold concrete meets hyperspace textures of club-construction bass music and beyond".

SATURDAY 26.03

23.00 SISTER w/ Ziúr, Linnéa, Mobilegirl & Dis Fig @ ACUD MACHT NEU

WHY: March 26 marks the first SISTER event in Berlin. A network of female-identifying electronic music artists, SISTER hosts over 600 members across the globe and provides a "safe, empowering space" to learn, share, and collaborate. The event at Acud Macht Neu will feature four of the group's members based in Berlin: Ziúr, Linnéa, Mobilegirl, Dis Fig.

SUNDAY 27.03

20.00 Pere Ubu @ Volksbühne

WHY: Pere Ubu are launching 'Coed Jail!', a tour drawing on the music from their two recent box set releases, 'Architecture Of Language, 1979-1982' and 'Elitism For The People, 1975-1978'. Guitarist Tom Herman plays in the band for the third time since 1975. The rest of the line-up is David Thomas, Robert Wheeler, Michele Temple and Steve Mehlman.
