THINK! - an auditive online series

One thing we have been enjoying during this uncertain period is alternative cultural formats. Case in point: THINK! - an auditive online series.

What impact do news and headlines have – especially if one needs to follow their directives. How do you digest - or – what words, phrases or expressives articulate themselves, once not bound to the order of the rational? In the late 80's poet Hannah Weiner (1928-1996) transcribed fragments of the daily news in a kind of writing trance over the course of a year and published them in new constellations in the publication „Weeks“ (Xexoxial, 1990). What Charles Bernstein describes in its preface equally hits today‘s situation at a sensitive point: „The hours hang and the headlines punctuate a passage through time that we move through, head bowed at the collision of flesh and indoctrination.“ Guided by the question „What will you think?“ various artists, authors and cultural producers have been invited to give free rein over their thoughts and send their news in form of an audio recording. New contributions will be added on a regular basis. As far as today in May you can listen to audio pieces by:

Stephan Andreae
Bertram B. Ohne
Zoe Darsee
Stefan Draschan
Chri Frautschi

Realized in collaboration with Blake & Vargas, THINK! follows up on their Artist Diary Series of 2020 and the conceptual piece „a word for a play“ by Sarah Bernauer and Franziska Glozer at Kunsthaus Baselland in 2011.
