Haus Kunst Mitte is a new exhibition center for contemporary art. It is located near the main central station and the Hamburger Bahnhof Museum in Berlin-Mitte. The building's history dates back to 1870 and was one of the few buildings in the area that remained standing after WW II. The art center offers approx.700 square meters of exhibition space on two levels. HKM's exhibition program focuses on works from Berlin-based contemporary artists.
