Built from 1824 to 1830 and designed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel, the church building is now used as an exhibition space of the Alte Nationalgalerie. In the imposing nave, sculptures of the 19th century ranging from the Schinkel period to the time of the German Empire can be viewed.
