Work (Explicit) goes Dancing Staging Ageing
As part of the Slow Motion exhibition by Lola Arias, this edition of the Work (Explicit) reading group takes place under the direction of Veronika Darian and Susanne Martin. Inspired by Lola Arias ‘gestures of care for the elderly, they invite you to explore old age together. The performative reading circle is very practical and experimental for self-care and self-care. Because age (es) is all too often determined by others through stereotypical images and stories, but also through predetermined behavior. Bertolt Brecht's “unworthy old woman”, as one of his short stories from 1939 is called, shows us the provocations of age-unjust behavior. But literature, theater, performance and dance (s) in particular help us in the search for alternative images, ways of thinking and movements towards an age-critical art and thought practice.
