„There are streets, paths, motorways, alleys, boulevards and promenades. And there are life paths, intersections and dead ends." (Streetscapes [Dialogue], Heinz Emigholz)
Oranienstraße and its neighborhood in Berlin Kreuzberg is the starting point for an artistic exploration of urban living spaces. In this group exhibition, 13 up-and-coming artists and filmmakers research, explore and observe the surroundings of a street. Audio moths fly from kitchen to kitchen, collaged facades are placarded, artificial suns rise and set, urban stables are mucked out and the history of a former wild concentration camp in Wienerstrasse is made visible. The works will be shown in the windows as well as in the exhibition area of SCOTTY.

Supervision exhibition & seminar: Lilli Kuschel

The works were created in the seminar „Urban Habitat: artistic field research on living spaces on Oranienstraße" by Lilli Kuschel at the Berlin University of the Arts in the Art and Media programme.
