"tracking the authentic repertoire" creates a visual and auditory experiential space that makes it possible to experience a preceding artistic research journey in the Balkan region. This journey was about exploring the shared musical heritage of this conflict-ridden region.
Photographic, cinematic and auditory recordings in combination with live acoustic performances now enable a reflection that allows for a revival and also a reinvention of this common heritage. An imaginary free space is created in which the found and elaborated repertoire can be reinterpreted.
The project was conceived and directed by the Berlin musician Şafak Velioğlu and the Berlin stage designer Elisa Limberg.
