Susanne Hofer and Enrico Niemann: Space and Surface

a dialogue exhibition from Enrico Niemann and Susanne Hofer.
with the audio installation "Sender I-III" by Rüdiger Stern druing the opening.

The painting objects of Enrico Niemann consist of tactile three-dimensional surfaces extending the pictorial space. The fluid application of paint is based on random processes. Combined with physical forms it creates a thin skin of paint oscillating between image and material, structure and dissolution.

«Zimmerflucht» (suite of rooms) is long and slow digital traveling through rooms and hallways of abandoned buildings in and around Berlin. The large projection consists of a collection of photos from the past ten years, and is shown on a specially installed, hanging plate as an architectural sketch.
