Further forms of displays, program of events, workshops, screenings and book release will be announced in the course of 2017.   Zandile Darko – Ursonate Part I: Zandile Darko created a 10-minute solo performance using the Dadaist text ‘Ursonate’ by Kurt Schwitters. What happens if the system of language which determines our perception of the world around is deconstructed? How do we frame our experiences? How does our perception of what we consider “normal” change?   Zandile Darko is an actress and performer based in Hamburg and Berlin. She studied Cultural Sciences at the Leuphana University Lueneburg and at the University of Ghana and received her artistic training in physical theatre at the ‘London International School of Performing Arts’. Since 2010 she is a member of the performance collective Label Noir and the transnational performance group Hajusom.   Serge Fouha & Jelka Plate – Lost in Representation mirrors the biographies of the actors Louis Brody (born in Douala, Cameroon in 1892) and Serge Fouha (born in Yaounde, Cameroon in 1982). Both emigrated to Germany in their time Using the setting of a German language course their answers to the standardised questions "What's your name?", "Where do you come from?", "Why did you come to Germany?" undermine the expectations of the interviewer.   Serge Fouha is an actor and director for film and theatre. He was trained at the theatre company Ngoti in Yaounde, Cameroon, Espace Gambidi Ouagadougu in Burkina Faso, Filmarche e.V. Berlin and was a fellow of Internationales Forum Theatertreffen Berlin 2011. He worked - amongst others - with Martin Ambarra, Lukas Fusi, Bernadette LaHengst, Bernd Freitag, Ulrich Köhler. He lives and works in Berlin since 2011.   Jelka Plate is an artist and set designer based in Berlin. She studied Fine Arts as well as set - and costume design at HfbK Hamburg. Her artistic research / practice is mostly based on the format of interviews. As a set-designer, she works amongst others with the performance group Hajusom – transnationale Kunst, Vanessa Stern, Bernadette LaHengst.   ----------------------------------------------------------------------   Zandile Darko - Ursonate Part I: Ausgangspunkt für das zehnminütige Solo von Zandile Darko ist die ‚Ursonate’ von Kurt Schwitters. Wie lassen sich Laute in Bewegung übersetzen und umsetzen? Was passiert, wenn das Sprachsystem, dem wir uns nicht entziehen können und das unsere Sicht auf die Welt prägt, ausgehebelt wird? Wie verändert sich unsere Wahrnehmung für das, was wir als „normal“ bezeichnen?   Zandile Darko ist Schauspielerin und Performerin. Vor dem Hintergrund des vermeintlichen Deutschkurses Schritte International unterlaufen die Antworten auf die Standardfragen "Wie heißt du?", "Woher kommst du?", "Warum bist du nach Deutschland gekommen?" die Erwartungen der Fragenden.   Serge Fouha ist Schauspieler und Regisseur für Film & Theater. Er wurde durch die Compagnie Ngoti in Jaunde / Kamerun, dem Espace Gambidi in Ouagadougu / Burkina Faso und der Filmarche e.V., Berlin ausgebildet und war 2011 Teilnehmer des Internationalen Forums beim Berliner Theatertreffen. Er arbeitete u.a. mit Martin Ambarra, Lukas Fusi, Bernadette LaHengst, Bernd Freitag, Ulrich Köhler. Er lebt und arbeitet seit 2011 in Berlin.   Jelka Plate ist bildende Künstlerin und Bühnenbildnerin. Sie studierte Freie Kunst sowie Bühnen- und Kostümbild an der HfbK Hamburg. Ihre künstlerische Recherchepraxis basiert meist auf Interviews. Als Ausstatterin arbeitet sie u.a. seit vielen Jahren mit der Performancegruppe Hajusom - transnationale Kunst, Vanessa Stern und Bernadette LaHengst.
