DIRECT APPROACH is an art project on the subjective perception of violence by Stine Marie Jacobsen. In a series of short films, interviews and posters she, together with different collaborators, activates pop-cultural narratives from film and cinema in relation to specific socio-biographic contexts. From March to June 2014 a group of young people worked with a team of professional film producers in order to devise crime scenes by taking examples from contemporary and historical feature films.
Jacobsen’s publication DIRECT APPROACH - THE GUIDE BOOK, a methodological guide and artist book, as well as the accompanying project website www.direct-approach.org will be launched on the occasion of the exhibition.
