"A Hunger Artist" brings together some themes explored in artist Daria Martin's work ¬– voyeurism, power relations, the surreal, the artist's myth, and bodily transformations – to create her most ambitious work to date: a complex, multi-layered artwork at the intersection of art, literature, psychology and science. This new moving image work experimentally adapts the modernist masterpiece "A Hunger Artist" by Franz Kafka.
