DADA GAMES Exhibition Closing & Dj Set Plurabelle

8.30 pm: Artist Talk with Lea Rasovszky about wilderness, dadaism and Romanian pop culture

9 pm: Exquisite corpse DJ set by Plurabelle (Romanian electronic music duo Alex Bălă and Cristian Fierbințeanu)

Although we talk about Dadaism, DADA is not an “ism” like all the others. It is not a style whose formal characteristics can be clearly defined. DADA is a symbolic point of reference for new experiments, in the spirit of each time. DADA does not end. DADA transforms itself. Dada is a movement. A state of mind. Where do we find DADA today?

This particularity of the Dada movement is the focus point of the exhibition. Even though the exhibition takes place in 2016, the year when we celebrate Cabaret Voltaire’s centenary and 120 years since the birth of Tzara, it does not have a reverential and commemorative character, but attempts to investigate and emphasize the implications of the Dadaist spirit in the contemporary Romanian art.
