Cloud of Grass

A story from Chinese mythology tells of the goddess Zhi Nu of the sky, who was able to weave seamless brocade garments from clouds. According to the legend, she wove tapestries from fine clouds of mist, which can still be seen today at sunset and dawn. If the clouds adorn the sky, the grass covers the earth. In between, a space opens up that we want to approach and in which we try to locate ourselves.

Under the title Cloud of Grass, students from Prof Caroline Achaintre's Textile Arts class at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design are showing their work at the Kunstverein am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz in Berlin.

You are cordially invited to the opening on Thursday, 8 February, at 6 pm with sparkling wine and sweet clouds.

Open Tue - Sun 2-7 pm
