Collated in one exhibition, the works are a testament to the scope of contemporary art. The differing themes, aesthetic styles and techniques in these editions exemplify the versatility of editions to be moulded to the individual. Now more than ever, art is a boundless means of expression through which voices are uplifted, united and broadcasted. It is imperative that art be shared throughout society as a whole.

BBA gallery is pleased to present BBA Editions, a group exhibition showcasing editions across a range of mediums from traditional etching up to contemporary photography. With lower price points and various sizes, BBA Editions marks the beginning of BBA’s mission to foster accessibility of art ownership for the general public and connect tomorrow's creatives with tomorrow's collectors.

Creatives from the annual BBA Artist and Photography Prize exhibitions as well as those represented by BBA will feature in BBA Editions. The artists selected for BBA Editions are a mix of ages, background, origins and practices.

BBA is expanding. Inclusivity and diversity applies both to the public and creatives.

We open doors to the industry for creative talents and the public. People from all walks of life create art under a diverse human experience. It follows that the enriching act of owning a unique piece of art should be openly available. Art should be a luxury common to all. BBA Editions is committed to  spreading art to a wider public through lower price points, thereby removing barriers to the art market.

Despite the age-old advent of printmaking editions (and the later inclusion of photography), people know more about the photoshop clone tool than the global history of editions. To this day, editions hold cultural significance as an agent of unique image repetition for galleries and artists to spread art and knowledge to a wider audience.

In the wake of NFTs and AI-generated art, the physicality of art remains remarkably relevant as a conduit for communication and connection with others. It contains an evident mark of  humanity, of touch, that cannot be emulated by a computer program. Editions are unique and valuable and above all special. From traditional printmaking to photography, each piece belonging to an edition carries within itself traces of the artist’s peculiarity and character. At BBA , we make the process of obtaining an edition piece an experience: packaged with care and coming with a certificate of authenticity, these editions are limited, authentic and one of a kind.

Editions will be available online through BBA Gallery’s online store on the website, those who cannot view the works in person may still have access to them.
