artspring Open Studios

Every year in May, artspring berlin organizes an art festival in the Pankow district – that is, in Pankow, Prenzlauer Berg and Weißensee: a whole month of art actions, concerts, performances, readings, exhibitions, screenings, workshops and, above all, open studios. This year, the heart of the artspring berlin festival month – the Open Studio Weekend – will take place on 5 and 6 June: Around 320 artists will be inviting the art-interested public into their studios on these two days. This is a rare opportunity to see works of art and to enter into conversation with the artists about their work. In addition, there will be numerous exhibitions and events around the studios this weekend. The large studio houses of the district are involved, including the Atelierhaus an der Prenzlauer Promenade, the Ateliergemeinschaft Milchhof, Schwedter Straße and the Interkulturelles Haus Pankow in Schönfließer Straße as examples. However, there are other studio houses and many individual studios to discover in Pankow, Prenzlauer Berg and Weißensee. An overview of all the locations is provided in the artspring festival newspaper, which is available in the greater district and can be viewed on the website www.artspring.berlin.

The weekend of open studios kicks off with the opening of the artspring exhibition in the municipal Galerie Parterre on Friday, 4 June.

Information on this and on all participating artists can be found on the website. There you will also be informed daily about the opening hours on the weekend and about the current hygiene measures. Access to the studios will probably be possible with distance and mask as well as a negative coronary test that is not older than 48 hours. We look forward to numerous mindful encounters!
