Artist Talk between Sonja Nilsson and Liz Rosenfeld

On the occasion of the current exhibition Visibility is a Trap by Sonja Nilsson at SCOTTY.
The conversation and theme for the evening will be focused and revolve around the sociological concept of Passing; a person’s ability to be perceived as a member of an identity group or category other than their origin. Nilsson's exhibition at SCOTTY is based on famous people with exceptional stories around passing. Rosenfeld creates films and performances that address questions relating to structures of passing and the responsibility of taking up space.  They will start by giving a presentation from each of their personal thoughts and perspectives on the theme, and then continue into a conversation together.

The conversation will take place in Haus der Statistik Berlin, Karl Marx Allee 1
