Alexander Iskin:

(Duration: 8 Feb – 20 Mar and probably longer)

In May 2020, the Mönchehaus Museum will honor the artistic work of Alexander Iskin for the first time on the occasion of his 30th birthday in the solo exhibition "Die Ursache liegt in der Zukunft". Prior to this exhibition, the artist will do the performance in the SEXAUER gallery. It will last several weeks, during which Iskin will prepare his first museum exhibition. For about two months, 7 days a week, Iskin will expose himself to a live broadcast in the exhibition hall of the gallery, which will become his studio. Access to the gallery after the opening will only be granted to people who help Iskin to live (survive) in the exhibition space. Further information will be available at the Opening.

In this artistic experiment of an "exhibition preparation performance" the idea of a finished exhibition gives way to the production process. In this, a reference to the work of Joseph Beuys can be seen such as in the involvement of the audience and visitors.
