Schloss Biesdorf is the municipal gallery of the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district and presents – free of charge – changing exhibitions with contemporary art and art from the cultural heritage as well as a small permanent exhibition on the history of the house. Schloss Biesdorf is a venue for events of all types – from concerts and guided tours, to artist exchanges, to lectures and literary formats. There is room enough, the castle has around 3,000 square meters of space. Located halfway to Brandenburg but still only 20 minutes from the city center with its “own” U-Bahn and S-Bahn connection (U5 / S5), Schloss Biesdorf makes the most of the special urban situation of Marzahn-Hellersdorf, between single-family residences and prefab high-rises.
