In 2008 Alexander Duve became the sole owner, and continued to present a program encompassing an array of media, finding a place for art that is aware of its context in art history yet is innovative in technique and intellect. As the relative size of the world decreases and access increases, effective art must be nuanced and meaningful -- DUVE shows artists who develop work with this understanding in mind. Pursuing an interdisciplinary approach to art and its execution, the program includes off-site projects, concerts, and screenings, Duve encourages dialogue with other creative fields. DUVE is specifically interested in artists whose artistic positions target architecture and urbanism, commercial culture, politics, self-identity, and imagination while achieving an original aesthetic.
