In the exhibition "under construction" three practices of contemporary drawing are in conversation with one another. They deal with the theme of "construction sites" in different ways. A drawing, whether on paper or in space, reveals the process of its creation. Drawing, even when it engages with reality or draws inspiration from it, is never a mere image, but always a construction. Those who draw invent forms and imaginary spaces. Minimal means, dots, lines, surfaces, are often enough to create something new. The goal is not to create a perfect picture or an overwhelming illusion. Rather, the drawing lives from the fragmentary, the implied, the cutout-like and the fragile. The drawing is not finished. We have to add to it by looking at it.
