The title „Tatort Kunstmesse“ ,  within the public discourse program of the ARTS CLUB BERLIN on the 16th September has to do with the progress and perspectives of the artfair as a market place for art with the focus on Berlin.
Keynote speakers are Dr. Peter Funken, curator of this year´s Berliner Liste, Tobias Kuttner, co-initiator of the Preview Art Fair Berlin and the Gallery manager (LSD Gallery) Wayra Schübel.  In the course of the discussion the gallery location of Berlin will be critically illuminated and the question will be what consequenes  the discontinuation of the Berliner Hauptmesse Artforum Berlin will have for the location in Berlin. There are international trade shows that are very successfull, and apart from these top events one needs strategie so that it will stay interesting for all the participants, for instance the artists, art collectors and gallery owners.
Will the current Berlin Kunstherbst be fulfilled?
