The first POSITIONS BERLIN will be held from 18—21 September 2014. With this new art fair, up to 40 select galleries present their most striking artistic positions as part of Berlin Art Week. The fascinating showplace,
the former Kaufhaus Jandorf centrally located on Brunnenstraße in Berlin-Mitte, features a façade rich in reliefs and large windows, exuding the typical Berlin charm of unrenovated old buildings. The fair presents art from Germany and around the world with an exhibition architecture with booths and solo walls that reacts to the space. POSITIONS BERLIN seeks to expand the already existing formats, not only spotlighting Berlin’s contemporary art world and upcoming young positions, but also showing current, established art. In this way, the fair seeks to allow for a greater overview and discussion about developments on the Berlin art market.
