PERSONAL TERRITORIES
okk/raum29 presents PERSONAL TERRITORIES, a group show featuring international artists : Yuki Jungesblut, Rola Khayyat and Ahmed Zidan, Sharon Paz, Petra Spielhagen and Chryssa Tsampazi. The exhibition includes : installation, video, photography, sound, public intervention and performance and creates a journey through a hotel room, a checkpoint, an outdoor semi-private space, a boxing arena and the next door neighbors. PERSONAL TERRITORIES observes the borders between private and public spheres as blurred transitional zones, as 'non'-spaces, as places we pass by everyday and often do not notice. Friday, Oct. 10th, 19.00h - performance "I Got a Plan to Get us Out of Here", Chryssa Tsampazi
A group of singers visits several apartments in the neighborhood of okk/raum29. There, in collaboration with the tenants, they prepare a music interpretation of "The Departure", a text by Franz
Kafka. Through the language of music and the styles the performer utilize, the apartments will be turned into a stage of discontent: a dispute orchestra of contradictory voices that also allows a process to blur personally clearly appearing orders and offer new ways of social interaction.
