Arijit Bhattacharyya’s outdoor video exhibition Species, Soil and Successors explores socioeconomic, historical, and cultural contexts, such as urbanization in Kolkata, water scarcity in slums, bird endangerment, and river degradation and highlights unique connections between moments and events across geographical boundaries by placing the videos in various neighborhoods in Berlin.
