As part of the group exhibition "never mind the burnout" the curators Katharina Schilling and Jim Avignon will give a talk exploring the topic of burnout in the context of art history. Beyond the presented works, the curators will look at works by well-known masters whose depiction can be read as a state of permanent overload. Art as a mirror of society depicts a picture of life on the edge of total exhaustion, which has been highly relevant not least since the Corona crisis.
