NESTING with Kerstin Stoll, Tobias Still, Jelka Plate
Nesting is an exhibition by Kerstin Stoll, Tobias Still and Jelka Plate.
Nest:
1. Dwelling built by animals from variously processed, diverse material
2. bed
3. hiding place / shelter
4. something bundled together / interwoven
Nesting uses sculpture, photography and performance to explore various forms of human and non-human dwellings, retreats and ecological as well as social niches.
Kerstin Stoll's „Wespendisko" is dedicated to the earth structures of the potter wasp, which she has collected, glazed and fired. Tobias Still photographs gardens and improvised buildings in his neighborhood in Frankfurt/Oberrad.
„Dickes Fell und faule Haut" by Jelka Plate examines the possibilities of human hibernation.
