SAUERS is pleased to announce „Haunting is Hard Work“, a solo exhibition by Mauro Ventura that features selected works from his performance series FORMA.

Mauro Ventura (b. 1993, Vila Nova de Famalicão) is a Portuguese artist whose interdisciplinary practice spans painting, sculpture, installation, performance and sound. Trained at the Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto and HFBK Dresden, Ventura’s work often explores spiritual and occult themes, creating surreal, ritual-infused action worlds that blur the boundaries between material and symbolic realms. Their work was featured in the solo exhibition Forest of Metal Whispers at Galeria Duarte Sequeira in Braga and in group presentations such as Very Friendly at HOUSE, Berlin. Ventura has also shown other international work including THE FAIREST THE FAIREST: the right to transform at HOTO in Berlin, AMYGDALA DEMONIA at Câmara Municipal do Porto, and Waiting Room at NONberlin and Gardens Of Drexciya in mi1glisse. Their work as DJ Saliva feeds into his visual practice, sharing a focus on collectivity and communal energy.
