Lennart Lahuis: In All Weathers

Please join us for the opening of In All Weathers, presenting recent works by Dutch artist Lennart Lahuis.

The exhibition explores processes of transformation, instability and excahnge that shape both natural environements and human systems of meaning. In the center of Lahuis'lies the relationship between matter and language. Water, fire, air, and earth appear not as stable categories but rather as forces in constant transformation. A particular focus is on water as a fundamental condition for ecological balance and survival, and on earth as a fragile material shaped by human impact. Writing, printing, and erosion become methods for testing unstable relations between image, language, and matter.

Bringing together four bodies of work the exhibition follows the movement of information through different states of matter. The works resemble carefully constructed experimental arrangements of thought, which can never fully secure the conditions of their own possibility – and it is precisely in this lack of closure that they take form.

Lennart Lahuis studied at the ArtEZ Institute of the Arts in Zwolle/Arnhem and at De Ateliers in Amsterdam. In his sculptural and installation-based works, Lahuis combines materiality, technical systems, and fragile equilibria.

Simultaneously, Nathan Peter inaugurates Schaufenster #11 (Monstera).
