The artist invites the audience to take away objects and garments that have been in the artist life for many years. Cavalli Bastos will dissolve their artworks and memories into an evening of storytelling.

Cibelle Cavalli Bastos is occupied by constant self-reflective research into identity construct and modes of deprogramming. During a 6-month Berlin residency at Agora Collective's studio space, the artist turned to auto-observation. Cavalli Bastos has undergone the process of daily confrontation with fragments from a previous life and residues of the self; a strong and intensive self-analytical reflection.  Follow the live broadcasts via the @cibellecibelle instagram account for insight into this process. About Cibelle Cavalli Bastos:

Born in 1978, São Paulo, Brazil.
Lives and works between London, Berlin and São Paulo.

Cibelle Cavalli Bastos received an MA in Painting from Royal College of Art. The artist´s practice is conceptual and interdisciplinary and involves performance, sound art, sculpture, video, painting and installation. Cibelle Cavalli Bastos´ work deals with deconstruction and formation of identities and ways our multi-selves interact with one another and our surroundings, as well as researching and devising ‘nano-political’ strategies for ‘deprogramming’ and uninstalling societal ‘malware’.  The artist has released four music albums and has performed and presented work in Museo Reina Sofia (Madrid), Miami Art Basel, Wilfredo Lam Contemporary Art Center Havana, 28th São Paulo Biennial among others. The artist has recently held a deprogramming lecture-workshop at Post-Cyber Feminist Week at ICA London and is the current artist-in-residence at Agora Collective e.V. in Berlin.
