Gisela Weimann can look back on an untiring creative work of many years. The theme between freedom and dictatorship challenges her to a process-like research. Using personal experiences, the insights of others, quotations, traces of contemporary history, revised visual material, photographs, drawings, literary texts and texts from her diary notes, the artist creates an illustrated wall of contemporary history that revolves around human straying and erring.
"I conjugate the 'erring' through all persons and cases, in the indicative, subjunctive, as imperative and as interrogation. This preliminary linguistic study has made it even clearer to me that not only I, but also you, he/she, we, she, they, that all err, have erred, will err."
