Performative Reading and Season Opening Party 2017/18

For the opening of the new season bi'bak invites the authors collective Daughters & Sons of Gastarbeiters for a performative reading. Daughters and Sons of Gastarbeiters is an open literature project organised by writers from Berlin, who followed their parents from the villages of Anatolia, Southern Europe and the Balkans to Germany or who were born in a working class neighborhood of the Federal German Republic. Their fathers and mothers should support the "economic miracle" in Germany as so called “guest workers”. Now, the sons and daughters look back: in performative readings they tell their personal stories and revive them with pictures.

The event will be held in German. After the performance, Raki and Dance with the DJ-Set by Cerikunda (Istanbul/Berlin)
