The exhibition conditional presents three current positions that deal very realistically and precisely with possible forms of space and time.

They interrogate the conditions that make something appear “real” or lead us to doubt their reality. In his large-format, photo-realist painting, Erik Nieminen deals with light reflection and reflecting surfaces that make the world appear weightless and multiple. In the photography works by Michael H. Rohde, gravity seems to have been abolished, whereby objects and spaces seem to take on a magical life all their own. Philipp Hahn’s video installations seem on first glance to depict time and space, but at the same time reveal successive interactive elements that cast in doubt their character as illustration.
