CHRYSALIS- Artists in Labs: Julius Holtz
Art Laboratory Berlin invites you to the next appointment of CHRYSALIS. Artists in Labs.
CHRYSALIS. Artists in Labs is an ongoing project, started last year, that brings art and science to Berlin science laboratories. The aim is to create new connections between artists and scientists, building on Berlin’s unique status as a centre for both disciplines.
The artists part of the project are all well-known for their research and practice at the interface of art, science, and technology: Helena Nikonole @helenanikonole
brings soil metagenomics together with machine‑learning; Margherita Pevere explores little‑studied Berlin ponds and the role of death in ecosystems; and Julius Holtz @juliusholtz combines interactive sound art, brain–computer interfaces, and sleep neuroscience.
In Julius’s workshop (happening on Saturday, June 27th), you’ll explore how emerging technologies and human-machine relations reshape identity, consciousness, and community. Participants can engage in embodied listening sessions that integrate theoretical reflection with practical experimentation, addressing mindfulness, collective perception, and human-machine interaction.
