FRIDAY 17.10
19.00 Elfte Interventionale @ Haus am Lützowplatz
WHY: "Elfte Interventionale" is concerned with art in public spaces, or artistic interventions in public. The strategies are subtle and subversive, or bold and provocative, with works ranging from political to poetic, from performative to calligraphy. The participating artists have one thing in common: their stage is not (only) the white cube, the gallery or the museum. For the curator Jan Kage, diversity is what matters, as well as to break some unnecessary definitions and rules.
Haus am Lützowplatz / Lützowplatz 9, 10785 Berlin, U Nollendorfplatz / open through 07.12 / free entry / more info
19.00 Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie - Abschlussausstellung @ SEZ Berlin
WHY: Graduates at the Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie are preparing a group show to present their final work. 28 different perspectives translates into 28 critical confrontations with various realities, in Germany and worldwide, with themes varying from war, photographer's origin, life in the city, to entirely fictional dream worlds. Graduation show also means a great party, so do not miss the chance to mix pleasure with pleasure.

19.00 Review @ Scotty Enterprises
WHY: In the exhibition "Review", the artists Charlotte Bastian, Simone Häckel, Karen Linnenkohl, Christine Niehoff, Mariel Poppe, Claudia Schoemig, Annette Sonnewend, and Linda Weiss take a critical look at the borders of the European Union, asking questions about the meaning of the European idea. This show presents a variety of photographic and video works, and even a psychological analysis of Europe and its "borderline personality disorder".

In his upcoming exhibition at Kuckei+Kuckei, the Berlin-based artist Miguel Rothschild charts his native city Buenos Aires anew, and with every step he questions the established demarcation lines, and the ones between reality and fiction.
