Tips 02.12 - 14.12
It is officially holiday season, and whatever is normally your favorite weekend fun, it is probably by now replaced with gallons of Glühwein and wasting money Christmas-drunk at gazillions of markets. Even the art spaces are trying to blend in with the bling by adding some to their events. We fully support it, and we think you should too -- now is really the best time to bring on all your guilty pleasures.

WEDNESDAY 03.12
17.00 Kunst Späti - Affordable Art Market #1 @ tête
WHY: The project space tête presents the first edition of Kunst Späti - Affordable Art Market, which will take place in the weeks before Christmas. Although it is a whole parallel universe out there made solely of Christmas markets, this one caught our eye with a long list of artists whose works are featured for sale - and apparently for affordable price. You can also expect music, soup, cake, hot toddies, coffee... We said enough, right?
Tête / Schönhauser Allee 161a, 10435 Berlin, U Senefelder Platz / free entry / more info
THURSDAY 04.12
18.00 TAG @ DZIALDOV
WHY: TAG is an exhibition by Tal Regev, Anne Bean and Gioia Meller Marcovicz. TAG - Tal Anne Gioia, Three Artists Gather, The Art Gallery ... The connections are endless. The paintings of Tal Regev, which explore the twilight zones of sensibilities and experiences, are connected to the uncatchable, layered reflections of Gioia Meller Marcovicz’s suspended glass sculptures, and to Anne Bean’s unfurling incantations piling up words into entwined random order. At the opening of TAG, starting at 19h, Anne Bean will unfurl an action. Its sculptural tracks will remain in the space for the duration of the show.
DZIALDOV / Maybachufer 43, 12047 Berlin / open through 31.12 / free entry / more info
FRIDAY 05.12
18.00 Superposition @ Sexauer Gallery
WHY: In the drawings by Caroline Kryzecki, lines flicker in front of viewers' eyes, allowing them to perceive spatial depth. The artist is is not interested in the optic confusion, and instead occupies herself with mathematic-geometric constructions evolved from her process. Her new series of works reveal the enormous potential of this process, with an output full of tension and expression that would not have resulted from an errorless, computer-generated grid.
Sexauer Gallery / Streustr. 90, 13086 Berlin, Friesickestraße Straßenbahn 12, M13 / free entry / more info
19.00 Community Clash @ SomoS
WHY: For this sixth edition of “Community Clash!”, a bimonthly group art exhibition featuring a selection of Berlin-based artists from within the Artconnect Berlin network, SomoS Art House will exhibit work by Robert Bartholot and Hara Katsiki, two individually outstanding artists who have also collaborated on projects. Witness the two creative world clashing! And while at it, seize the day and find your own purpose in all that networking business.

18.00 Francis Zeischegg – Targets @ Vincenz Sala Berlin
WHY: Francis Zeischegg moves in the fields between installation, architecture and conceptual art, practicing basic research of the relationship between human and space. The central theme of Zeischegg's art is the analysis of perceptual processes, essentially the study of the human view and their perspective; about standard and custom made, camouflage and deception. Vincenz Sala seems to us as a very challenging factor in this show, when the artist's constructs are considered difficult even for a classical gallery space. This already fires up our imagination, and the popular "go-see-for-yourself" advice is the one that comes to our mind.
Vincenz Sala Berlin / Helmstedter Str.8, 10717 Berlin, U Berliner Str. / open through 03.01 / free entry / more info
