will open the joint exhibition “K60” on September 9th-13th, 2020 in the Wilhelm Hallen in Reinickendorf, Kopenhagener Strasse 60. Here comes the ad part: This listed building of a former iron foundry offers 3000 square meters of space, dedicated to works of art and installations that far exceeds the traditional gallery space. End ad. The exhibition invites 23 artists represented by the participating galleries and will offer a presentation spanning videos, sculptures, paintings and mixed media installations. Ad part: The halls, which are nearing completion, will be accessible to the public for the first time on the day of the opening and will also be open during Gallery Weekend Berlin. And you know, Berlin Art Week.

This new initiative reinforces the spirit of collaborative practices between galleries and the artistic community of the city of Berlin, which remains strong and vibrant. Made increasingly evident during the current COVID-19 crisis, more collaborative and shared platforms offer new opportunities for the local art scene to display works of art and open discourses on fruition and the distribution of art, which is markedly relevant in a city at the forefront of production, display and creation of new ideas. The spacious premises of the exhibition area will provide an opportunity to group together multifarious and varied creative perspectives, giving each artist the necessary space to present their unique research.
