Period: Starting Januara 2016- long term
Part time freelance position: 15h weekly

Job Description:

As a managing editor you will be running the event guide and program (print issue coming out every two months) as well as the regular and cover features of the online magazine. Managing the team of bpigs, you will be communicating with existing gallery and media partners, as well as develop new contacts in international and national art and media scene. You would need to bring in professional marketing and managing experience in this field and/or relevant studies. Creative professionals will not be considered.

Art scene knowledge

Professional experience in the field is greatly appreciated, but students in the last year could be considered if otherwise highly qualified.

About Bpigs.com
Bpigs is an artist run communication platform.
Focus is highlighting the contemporary art scene from the producer’s point of view. It operates on two levels: as an info guide with event and exhibition listings and as an online magazine. Admission to the guide is opento galleries, project spaces and institutions. The content of the magazine is strictly editorial. The info guide comes out every two months in 8.000 - 10.000 copies and it is distributed for free in project spaces, galleries and bookstores. In the online magazine a changing team of artists runs a series of blogs, giving a direct access to behind the scene news and current debates.

Salary:

Fee: 10-15 Euro per hour depending on years of experience and qualifications
