I have been writing a montly column for Bigs, Book Hook, in which I choose a selection of artist books that share a common theme that I find especially relevant and interesting, all of which can be found in Berlin bookstores, for almost a year now. Accompanying images of each book is a short description and why I think it is worth having a look at in person. The topics have ranged from politically oriented art activism to extraterrestrials. The reason for writing this column is that I am an avid reader and am passionate about artist books, and I want other people to be too! Coming soon is a feature on the different independent publishers based in Berlin.
We feel that it is now time to open up Book Hook to include your artist books, which I might otherwise overlook...so submissions are now being accepted!
