ZOMBIES ON THE WALLS / Post Internet vs. New Abstraction

For its second exhibition BURNRATE invites you to witness a project about "new" painting. Stephan Jäschke and Glenn Geffken are asking why so much New Art look the same? Because it's straight from the same Meme Generator is their answer. They will generate new painting memes. After the introducion of Post Identity Art, these two new, young painters will extend notions of POST CONTEMPORARY ART. Contemporary Art has turned into its own cannibal, it is eating itself and all in its path. Undead, Contemporary Art endlessly recreates itself out of images and material sourced from the omnipotent Global Internet. Contemporary Art = Jpeg.

New Abstraction and Post Internet are only trending Image tropes aggregated daily to produce constant new stock for the tireless International art fair/ Biennale circuit. This Painting Project deals with the changed conditions of art production today. Art Now is now a form of Meme Generator. BURNRATE states the new era of POST CONTEMPORARY ART.
