Under the Little Signs of Possessed Exuberance

The work of artist Glenn Peeters lies in the moment that it becomes elusive and that you, as a spectator, are thrown at yourself. Glenn constantly has the desire to freeze his thoughts and actions at the strongest moment of his thinking. His work consists of paintings and sculptures. The work comes from actions, methods and ritual processes. Sometimes methods that are instinctive, spontaneous and physical and at other times meticulous, anticipatory negotiations. “I think it's a great idea that decisions that have taken place in your head are reflected in a work. You grope for something that expresses itself through the material”. With capturing his thoughts and actions in a work, he sheds light on the intrinsic poetry of materials and it’s visual value.
