THE ARTIST AT WORK

Coinciding with Berlin Art Week 2017, Ralf Schmerberg Studio is pleased to present THE ARTIST AT WORK. Visitors are invited to visit the Kreuzberg studio of filmmaker and artist Ralf Schmerberg and get a glimpse into the artistic practice of one of Berlin’s most prolific artists. During these days, visitors are welcome to immerse themselves in the everyday of the studio environment, contemplate the art works on show and encounter the artist at work. With the studio demystified as a locus of solitary creation, visitors will experience it as a collective space of communal inspiration and collaboration.
The showroom will feature recent work by Ralf Schmerberg. Concurrently, an installation will be on view at The Hole – Institut für Sehsüchte.
Admission is free.
Ralf Schmerberg (*1965 in Ludwigsburg) lives and works in Berlin. Schmerberg’s artistic practice explores the boundaries of society, continuously expanding and redefining them. Alongside his photographs exists a diverse cinematic oeuvre, which spans feature films, documentaries, short films, music videos and commercials.
