Speisekino #20: Lotville

Speisekino #20: Lotville

In mid of April, the raumlaborberlin emigrated to that small village in south France named “Saint Cirque la Popie”. A group of 15 people and 5 children is working on developing the city of the future. But “Lotville” is not just “Science Fiction”. The valley of Lot has a 10.000 year old history of civilisation. There are crusader castles and an abandoned railway. Only last year over 600.000 touristes came to the small village to visit that cultural heritage. The refugees of the civilisation from the past live in the surrounding villages. All those who escaped the missinterpreted utopias from the 70ies. Hippies and their offsprings. According to this the cultural live is diverse. Furthermore this depopulated swath of land welcomes every immigrant and hospitality is taken very seriously. It is just a matter of time for the european refugee movement to understand the advantages of arriving here. Meanwhile the raumaborberlin is preparing and planning for this moment to come. During Speisekino in Moabit the first results of this plannin will be presented.
