Soft Circuits

Soft Circuits - Robin Thomson

'Soft Circuits'  is a new video installation work by Scottish artist Robin Thomson.

In this single-channel video work, a narrator gets lost in an ever changing landscape of interior and exterior spaces. As sequences are shuffled and new combinations of image and sound are  constantly created, one viewer will likely see and hear something quite different from the other. Inspired by testimonies and studies of disassociation and depersonalization, the wandering narrative and ever-shifting visual surfaces of Soft Circuits alludes to a sense of real-life forever displaced by technology.
