Sewing Station

Sewing Station

Amplified sewing machines make musical clothing. The Sewing Station is an active, interactive, performative installation of mending, repurposing and hacking into garments. Performance artist Lisa Simpson presents sculptural garments created during past performances as well as provides solutions for all those unworn garments piled up in your closet, along with sewing tips for interested audience. Upcycle your clothes! On the opening Friday, May 29, Lisa joins fellow musicians in a musical sewing performance, making music out of making clothes.
